I started the engine in the turbo Pinto for the first time Dec. 30th. It runs a little rough in the video. It idles better now with less clicking and stalling. I still need to do some tuning. The video was at about 10pm, listen for the crickets. Heh.

The first start up and running of my turbo Pinto project.

I still have about a months worth of work before the first test ride. I already have some people that cant wait to ride in it. icon_mrgreen.gif

Heres the first day at a quarter mile track.

**Sh*T is said a couple times**

It was a good birthday. I had a couple people seriosly ask me to sell it to them. They wanted to make money street racing it. Its a total sleeper.

I pretty much got the car on the road for that private track event and now the Pinto is back on stands and the engine and trans are coming back out for a few small things. One is a trans leak that got me kicked off the Lakeland 1/8 mile track. Oh well. Its only going to get better.

Beth says its like being on a roller coaster. I can steer this coaster though!

Thats pretty close. One of the small things I have to fix is a motor mount that broke and the engine lifts high enough to stick the throttle open at full throttle. Sometimes in 2nd gear, it would floor itself and stick wide open while driving on the streets. Beth really liked to see my right foot off the pedal and almost touching the dash while the car is going hammer down. Pushing the clutch pedal would bring it back to normal pretty quickly. I have to replace the mount and chain the engine down so it wont happen again.

I havent had time to work on it for about a month and I'm really wanting to get it back on the road. Hopefully I'll be able to wrench on it today.
